The most urgent task for every Christian is to crucify the flesh. Jesus said the spirit iswilling but the flesh is weak. (Mark 14:38) But if you crucify the flesh daily then you will stop sinning, and your spirit will rise up and start praying.  If you continue to crucify the flesh daily, then the Spirit of God will lead you to pray for the Outpouring of the Spirit, also known as revival.  And without revival, sinners will not repent and surrender to the cross and the pure gospel of Jesus Christ.”  －Johnson and Pearl

Psalm 24:3-5  King James Version

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

“If the flesh is NOT crucified, it will be harder and harder to discipline yourself to pray, because the flesh doesn’t like to do spiritual things and pray. Your spirit might be willing to be humble, holy, and hunger for God, but your flesh will try desperately to pull you away from prayer, because it rather sin and do natural things like eat, drink, play, and sleep.  But if the flesh IS crucified daily, it will be easier and easier to discipline yourself to God’s word, pray, and worship.  Because, when the flesh is crucified, your spirit gets stronger, and you can thus pray more and more.  So, instead of the flesh suppressing your born-again spirit, the spirit will be suppressing the flesh.”  －Johnson and Pearl
