“If the flesh is NOT crucified, it will be harder and harder to discipline yourself to pray, because the flesh doesn’t like to do spiritual things and pray. Your spirit might be willing to be humble, holy, and hunger for God, but your flesh will try desperately to pull you away from prayer, because it rather sin and do natural things like eat, drink, play, and sleep.  But if the flesh IS crucified daily, it will be easier and easier to discipline yourself to God’s word, pray, and worship.  Because, when the flesh is crucified, your spirit gets stronger, and you can thus pray more and more.  So, instead of the flesh suppressing your born-again spirit, the spirit will be suppressing the flesh.”  －Johnson and Pearl

“The spirit of a born again Christian is the dynamo(electrical generator) of God.
