Jeremiah 29:12-13  Amplified Bible

12 Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you.
13 Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

2 Chronicles 16:9  “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.”

“For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His.”  -2 Chronicles 16:9 (AMP)

“Prayer is the 1st thing, the 2nd thing, the 3rd thing necessary to a minister. Pray, then my dear brother; pray, pray, pray.”   -Edward “Praying” Payson

Prayer is the greatest of all forces, because it honors God and brings Him into active aid.”  -E.M. Bounds

“Prayer should not be regarded “as a duty which must be performed, but rather as a privilege to be enjoyed, a rare delight that is always revealing some new beauty.” -E.M. Bounds

John 14:11-13  Amplified Bible
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe [Me] because of the [very] works themselves [which you have witnessed].

12 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.

13 And I will do whatever you ask in My name [[a]as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son.

“Prayer is the greatest power and privilege that God could ever give to His children.   To neglect this power and privilege is the greatest ignorance and tragedy.”  -Johnson and Pearl

The biggest power and privilege that God can give to a man is to teach him the power of prayer.  Thru prayer, a man can receive the power to witness, power to preach the pure gospel, power to lead sinners to repentance, power to humble arrogant kings, power to do miracles, power to heal the sick and cast out demons, and revival power to win cities and nations for Christ!”    -Johnson and Pearl

“Prayer will always be the most powerful means of changing the world for Christ, and humbling evil men and corrupt kings/presidents/and governments.”    -Johnson and Pearl

“Prayer not only changes things; prayer changes people.” –Leonard Ravenhill

“The man who can get believers to praying would, under God, usher in the greatest revival that the world has ever known.”  ― Leonard Ravenhill, Why Revival Tarries

“The law of prayer is the law of harvest:  sow sparingly in prayer, reap sparingly: sow bountifully in prayer, reap bountifully. "  -Leonard Ravenhill

Does God reward faith and persistent prayer?

George Mueller’s prayers for 5 of his friends:

In November 1844, I began to pray for the conversion of five individuals. I prayed every day without a single intermission, whether sick or in health, on the land, on the sea, and whatever the pressure of my engagements might be. 18 months elapsed before the 1st of the five was converted. I thanked God and prayed on for the others. Five (5) years elapsed, and then the second was converted. I thanked God for the 2nd, and prayed on for the other three. Day by day, I continued to pray for them, and 6 years passed before the 3rd was converted. I thanked God for the three, and went on praying for the other two. These two remained unconverted.  Thirty-six (36) years later he wrote that the other two, sons of one of Mueller’s friends, were still not converted. He wrote, “But I hope in God, I pray on, and look for the answer. They are not converted yet, but they will be.” In 1897, fifty-two (52) years after he began to pray daily, without interruption, for these two men, they were finally converted—but after he died! Mueller understood what Luke meant when he introduced a parable Jesus told about prayer, saying, “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up” (Luke 18:1).   -George Mueller

As long as the motive of your prayer is in accordance to God’ will, and that it glorifies God, then God will surely answer such prayer according to His methods and timing.  Prayers that are in accordance to God’s will transcends time and space, because God is a God that hears prayers, and transcends time and space.  Even if a praying person dies, God will still hear and execute his prayers, because God is a faithful God that does what He says, and God magnifies His word above His name.”   -Johnson and Pearl

Psalm 138:2  (KJV) “I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth: for Thou hast magnified Thy word above all Thy name.”

“When asked how much time he spent in prayer, George Muller’s reply was, “Hours every day. But I live in the spirit of prayer. I pray as I walk and when I lie down and when I arise. And the answers are always coming.”  Source Unknown.

“18-year-old Hudson Taylor wandered into his father’s library and read a gospel tract. He couldn’t shake off its message. Finally, falling to his knees, he accepted Christ as his Savior. Later, his mother, who had been away, returned home. When Hudson told her the good news, she said, “I already know. Ten days ago, the very date on which you tell me you read that tract, I spent the entire afternoon in prayer for you until the Lord assured me that my wayward son had been brought into the fold.”     -Our Daily Bread, July 19, 1989.

“Faith in a prayer-hearing God will make a prayer-loving Christian.”  -Andrew Murray

“Men of prayer must be men of steel, for they will be assaulted by Satan even before they attempt to assault his kingdom.”  -Leonard Ravenhill
