*probably as many as 90% of Americans have never heard of the true gospel, because so many fake and diluted gospels out there!
The true gospel of Jesus Christ is: Every person on earth has sinned a lot, and all have sinned against the Creator God of the universe, and every person has transgressed many, many times God’s moral law, mainly the Ten Commandments.
In your lifetime, you must have lied, stolen, coveted money, lusted in your heart, had sex before marriage, cohabitation, took God’s name in vain(like saying OMG), had an abortion, dishonored your parents, cussed, worshipped yourself or money as a god, worshipped idols or false gods, idolized pop music stars, etc. The Bible says, God has put His moral law in your heart, your conscience knows that those are sin.
Sin is blatant mutiny and rebellion against God.
And sinning against God is at least one trillion times more serious than sinning against a king or a president.
Therefore, God’s wrath is on you everyday! (Ps 7:11) So, before God, you are definitely NOT a good person but a wicked sinner! Sooner or later, you will have answer to the God that created the universe and mankind.
The Bible says, God is a holy and righteous God, and the wages or consequences of sin is death. And after death there will be the punishment of eternal fire in hell. The Bible says, that hell is a real and painful place. (Luke 16:28) In hell, the worms do not die, and the fire is eternal. Nonetheless, God’s love is so great that He send His sinless Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for all the sins of the world. This kind of love is infinitely greater than a king sacrificing His prince to die in place of a death-row criminal.
Then, three days later Jesus defeated death and is risen from the dead. (Btw, Darwin, Buddha, or Mohammed did not rise from the dead)
