Faith vs. fear - what does the Bible say? | GotQuestions.org

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Fear is the opposite of faith.

Fear is a lie. Every fear is a lie!

Every fear is a lie from the devil.

Faith pleases God, fear does not.  Reject and ignore fear.

-Aside from the (reverential and healthy fear of God), and natural/logical fear from danger, every fear is a lie from the devil.
anxiety is created through fear…

Every fear is a lie from the devil. how are the lies given to us?

When devil speaks lies into your mind, that creates fears, and the fears create worries and anxieties, and then you have all this mental illness.

How are the lies given to us?

the devil cannot read our minds, but he might try to give us fears and mix them into our thoughts, hoping you would think those fears are yours instead of his.

The devil knows if he can capture your thought life he has won a mighty victory over you." –Smith Wigglesworth

“A man is in a great place when he has no one to turn to but God."  -Smith Wigglesworth

when the devil keeps giving you fearful thoughts, and you embrace them and fall for them, then it turns into anxieties and worries. , or even panics…, or even suicidal or homicidal thoughts , but those are from the devil, not from you.

aside from the reverent fear of God, every fear is a lie from the devil.

Knowing this is more than half the battle,

fear is the opposite of faith, every fear is like a mirage.

fears looks scary, when up close it is literally nothing.

don’t meditate on the devil’s lies and fear thoughts.

He will try to scare you through fear…

the word of God gives us faith, thus replacing fears.

flaming darts are the devil’s fears.. resist them by the shield of faith.

-Brother Aaron Kim

“Persevering faith and trust in God can and will defeat all of the devil’s darts of fear."  -Johnson and Pearl

Ephesians 6:16  “above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

“Perserving prayer always wins.”  -E.M. Bounds
