I was on the fence about getting this vaccine until about a week ago.
I work at two different hospitals and I had a co-worker who is in his mid-30s no comorbidities no health problems and fairly physically fit emphatically got his Pfizer booster shot…. So this was his third shot total.
He got it on a friday, then on Sunday started having chest and arm pain but shrugged it off. Came into work Monday, collapsed, and got rushed to the er. They immediately did an EKG and within minutes were shaving his groin and prepping him for a heart cath. The cardiologist got called in and called the heart cath off after a second EKG. He told my coworker that he definitely had myocarditis and it was definitely from the booster shot.
He got admitted for observation for 2 days and was out of work for the rest of the week.
I work for Ascension St Thomas in Nashville and they are mandating the vaccine by November 12th. Sadly I have worked with them since 2004 and unless they reverse their decision I will be walking out the door then.
