有人問喬治‧慕勒：“你服事神的秘訣是什麼？”喬治‧慕勒的回應是這樣的：「曾經有一天我死了；我向自我、我的意見、我的偏好、我的品味、我的旨意而死去了。我向世界的肯定和指責死去，甚至向我弟兄和朋友的肯定和指責死去。自從那日到現在，我只竭力在神面前得蒙喜悅（提後2:15）。神的僕人只有一位主人。」 －喬治‧慕勒(George Muller)
George Müller was asked, “What is the secret of your service to God?” Muller’s response was this: “There was a day when I died, utterly died, died to George Müller, his opinions, preferences, tastes and will…died to the world, its approval and censure…died to the approval or blame even of my brethren and friends…and since then I have studied to show myself approved only to God. A servant of God has but one Master.
